TaoScope·Engineering
Ship end-to-end explorer features — React/Next.js UI, APIs, and data layers on live Bittensor data.
TaoScope is a production Bittensor explorer used daily by validators, subnet teams, and researchers. We are expanding subnet analytics, wallet-aware views, and comparison tools while keeping performance and reliability under control.
We are building a vetted full-stack bench for ongoing work — not a one-off contract. You would own features from API integration through UI polish, treating incorrect numbers, slow interactions, and brittle data flows as production issues.
This is product engineering across UI and API layers on live chain data — not a marketing-site or landing-page role.
What you'll work on
- Next.js App Router pages for subnets, validators, leaderboards, analytics, and wallet-connected views
- Performance: bundle splitting, server/client boundaries, virtualized tables, and chart render budgets
- Shared UI patterns — accessible forms, modals, filters, and responsive layouts across the explorer
- TanStack Query data layers with honest loading, error, and stale states when RPC or indexers lag
- Wallet extension flows (Polkadot.js, Talisman, SubWallet) with clear signing boundaries
- Collaboration on freshness indicators and copy operators can trust when data is delayed
- Incremental releases with measurable impact on load time and interaction quality
Requirements
- ·Several years shipping React and Next.js App Router in production
- ·Strong TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and accessibility fundamentals
- ·Demonstrated performance improvements on dashboards, analytics, or explorer-style products
- ·Comfort owning a feature from API review through UI polish and edge cases
- ·Portfolio or GitHub with deployed work we can review
- ·Clear written communication in async, remote-first teams
Nice to have
- +TanStack Query, Recharts or similar charts, and virtualized lists at scale
- +Web3 wallet, staking, or blockchain explorer experience
- +Design systems or component documentation in fast-moving teams
- +Familiarity with Bittensor, Substrate, or Polkadot ecosystem UX
We're not looking for
- Portfolios with no production deployments or maintenance history
- Roles limited to design handoff with no implementation ownership
- Developers who have not improved Core Web Vitals on a real product
Why join
- ·Ship UI on live mainnet data — operators notice when something is wrong
- ·Small team: your work reaches production quickly, with direct user feedback
- ·Remote-first, async-friendly culture with written defaults
- ·Breadth across analytics, wallet, and explorer surfaces
- ·Competitive contract rates for senior ICs with clear scope and renewal paths
